We place a high priority in sharing the Jesus story–telling others about His miraculous birth, His loving life, His sacrificial death, and His glorious resurrection. We believe Jesus is the key to God’s plan for restoring fallen humanity. And because of Jesus’ death on the cross, each of us is able to have a close and personal relationship with God.
In summary, we believe in God as the Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and therefore all its miracles and writings to be totally true. We believe in salvation through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross, water baptism by immersion, symbolizing new birth in Jesus, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a personal blessing for empowered living. We also believe in holy living in obedience to God’s Word, miraculous answers to prayer for healing and deliverance, and the soon return of Christ for those who have been born-again.
If you’ve taken time to read this far, you’re probably wondering who we are. We are a church that practices the teachings of the New Testament. What this means is that we identify with the original church described in the New Testament. We are committed to a revival of the beliefs, practices, and priorities of original Christianity, which Jesus personally taught His disciples. You might say that we are a first century church for the twenty-first century.
Although we have a denominational affiliation, we tell people that it doesn’t matter what your church background is because we’d like you to be our guest and then decide if this is the right church for you. After all there won’t be any denominations in heaven. We do not suggest that we are the only church. We openly recognize that many other Christian groups are also committed to the task of building God’s Kingdom.
Our church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God, a Christian fellowship of over 12,000 churches scattered throughout the United States. Worldwide our fellowship is located in more than 200 countries with an estimated 63 million people attending our churches.
Every one of the churches in our fellowship are unique in some respect. For instance, we’re unique in the sense that we have a multi-generational focus because we want to appeal to a wide range of people including those we refer to as “Generation NOW” (age 40+) while at the same time strategically targeting and investing to reach “Generation NEXT” (children – 30s).
