Our Discipleship Process
The objective of Southlake Church is to take people from where they are now and move them to where God wants them to be. Transformation occurs as unbelievers become believers, believers become disciples, disciples become servant leaders, and servant leaders become reproducers.
This process of spiritual formation can be high-lighted by the following words:
Reach…Relationships…Resource…Release…Reproduce
REACH
We seek to evangelize others in every relationship of life: through personal witnessing, weekend services, special events, small groups and really anywhere where people are given an opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
RELATIONSHIPS
Connecting with caring people begins the moment someone experiences salvation. We think doing life together in a local church community is essential for personal well-being. We help those who desire to build new relationships by providing weekend worship experiences, small group settings, and frequent activities that encourage one-on-one friendships.
RESOURCE
New converts as well as newcomers to our church are invited to participate in a highly motivating instructional track we call “The Journey.” This track provides training for victorious Christian living, spiritual growth and leadership development.
RELEASE
Those who partner with SLC as committed servant leaders are encouraged to make a difference in the lives of others with their abilities and passions by getting involved with an existing ministry or initiating a new ministry that finds a need and fills it or finds a hurt and heals it.
REPRODUCE
We mobilze our servant leaders to invest themselves in reproducing other like-minded people with the knowledge that an influencial life centers on multiplying more disciples to expand the Kingdom of God.
