Sometimes life is just too hard. Relationships are complicated. Bad things happen. People don’t always play fair. Sickness dominates your landscape. You find yourself traveling a road you never intended, or even imagined. Maybe you just want to quit, but something deep down inside says there must be something more. That something keeps you running, searching, hoping, and you’re closer than you think to the answer.
Southlake Church wants you to know that when you’ve met and exceeded your limits you haven’t reached the end of the road. Nothing’s too hard for God.
He knows no limitations, He never fails, He loves you, and He wants to help.
NO PERSON IS BEYOND FORGIVENESS
Does a life of mistakes always equal a life sentence? Can I ever get past these sins? Will I ever be free of them? There is a cleansing freedom for all who ask. A new life awaits you.
Everybody has failed. There is no one good enough to earn God’s forgiveness based on performance — no one! We don’t have to be convinced that we are capable of great evil. We only need to reflect on our own history to measure that dark potential. None of us can lay claim to moral superiority.
All of us have sinned. But there is a power that is greater than the power of our own sin. There is a remedy as wonderful as our sin is terrible. It’s the power of God’s grace and mercy. God offers forgiveness to all who will ask of Him. Regardless of what you have done, God loves you.
NO ILLNESS IS TOO DIFFICULT
You live with the pain each day. You have lost hope in finding a medical solution. Where is the answer? There is hope in God. Your help is in Him.
The Bible is filled with stories of God’s healing power.
But they are more than stories, they confirm God’s promises to all. When medical science is exhausted, God’s healing power still provides hope. God is not dependent on a new drug or promising therapy. He created man from the dust of the earth and designed every intricate system and process. He authored life itself.
He knows how to fix whatever is wrong. You may feel like you are ‘damaged goods’ but God can make you whole.
NO ADDICTION IS TOO STRONG
Life has become an endless cycle of despair. Every step seems to lead back to hopelessness.But there is hope. God can break the cycle. He can give you a new life.
NO FINANCIAL NEED IS TOO LARGE
The bills have overtaken every part of your life. The endless calls and notices remind you each day of your difficulty. Will you ever be free?There is help. There is One who knows your need and all that you face.He cares and will help you.
NO LOSS IS TOO DEVASTATING
The coldness of reality weighs on you. They are not coming back. Pain fills the emptiness of your heart. Where is your help? There is One who can trade joy for every tear, One who offers hope.
God knows no hopeless case. He’ll stick with you when others walk away. He’ll be there when it seems that death has robbed you of all you hold dear. He won’t cut and run when you’ve messed up a good thing or chased after some foolish dream.
God doesn’t run from you, He runs to you.You may feel like a failure, but that doesn’t affect His faithfulness. God can make something wonderful out of the worst life story. The Bible says that He gives beauty for ashes. You are never without hope even when you’ve reached the end of your rope.
NO RELATIONSHIP IS TOO BROKEN
Something is wrong between you. Every word adds to the pain. Will it ever be the way it was? There is One who can restore love and happiness. He can mend what man cannot.
NO FORM OF LONELINESS IS TOO OVERWHELMING
Each day, people you pass only remind you that you are alone.The pain with you is crying out for help, for comfort.There is One who hears your cries, One who promises hope.
NO FEAR IS TOO GREAT
Life’s troubles leave you with no escape and fear has paralyzed every decision.There is help. There is an always-present Friend available at your request.No fear can stand in the face of God. Are you afraid to die, afraid to fly, afraid of commitment, afraid of failure?
Are you afraid for your kids, afraid of sickness, afraid of being alone? Are you afraid of risk, afraid to hope, afraid to begin again? Fear paralyzes the soul. It thrives in darkness. Fear feeds on uncertainty. It hates light.
The Bible says that God is light and in Him there is no darkness. If you put your trust in Him, you don’t have to be afraid anymore. Turning to God is like turning on the light. We suddenly see things as they truly are, and one truth trumps all our fears: God is with us and He will not abandon us in good times or bad.The Bible tells the story of a prophet named Jeremiah. At one of the hardest moments of his life, God asks him a question, “Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
Jeremiah found life confusing, unjust, and quite hopeless in that hour. But God was working, even when it seemed that all was lost. Jeremiah made it through the storm. If you will put your trust in God, you’ll make it too.
It may seem that it’s too late for you, that your options are exhausted. You may feel that hope is lost, help is not coming, and life is just too hard. Don’t trust your feelings. Trust in God. Ask Him to walk with you, to forgive you, to heal you, and to help you because . . . Nothing’s too hard for God!
